Review Reply for Restaurants

Review Reply for Restaurants

Review Reply drafts an editable reply to the restaurant review you select on Google Business Profile or Tripadvisor for Business. You review and edit the draft, run Truth Check, then make the final click to post through the platform's own reply form. Yelp and any other review site use the paste-a-review path.

Workflow

How does Review Reply work in three steps?

The extension keeps a person in the loop from the first draft to the final submit.

1

Click RR on the review

Open a supported review page and click the circular RR icon beside the native Reply or Respond button. On Tripadvisor, expand an unanswered review first. The extension reads only that review's context on the page.

2

Edit the draft and run Truth Check

The reply appears in your chosen workspace — a Chrome side panel, a toolbar popup, or an in-page card. Adjust the wording, switch tone or language, and run Truth Check to flag unsupported details, unverified promises, and missed complaints.

3

Post with your own click

When the reply reads the way you want, click Post reply. The final click fills the platform's own response field and submits its native form. Nothing is posted without that action.

Capabilities

What can Review Reply do for a restaurant?

One-click AI drafts

A context-aware reply for the exact diner review you select, ready to edit in seconds.

Three tones

Professional, Friendly or Casual, so the reply can match the voice of your restaurant.

29 languages, or match the review

Set the reply language per response, or let the extension match the language of the diner review.

Truth Check guidance

Flags unsupported concrete details, unverified promises, and missed clear complaints before you publish.

Three workspaces

Work in a Chrome side panel, a compact toolbar popup, or an in-page card, whichever fits your screen.

Light and Dark

The panel and the in-page card follow your choice of appearance, or the operating system by default.

Trust

You always make the final click

Review Reply drafts and guides. It does not decide, and it does not publish on its own.

Nothing posts on its own

Nothing is submitted without your explicit click on the platform's own Post reply button. On Yelp and other sites the path drafts only, and you paste the reply in yourself.

Truth Check before you publish

Truth Check reviews the draft for claims the review text does not support, unverified promises, and confident language that does not match the review. If findings remain, posting needs a second Post anyway click.

Editable by design

Every draft stays in your hands until you are done with it. Change the wording, tone or language, regenerate, or discard it entirely. The reply is always yours.

Guides

How should a restaurant reply to a review?

A good reply thanks the diner, answers the specific points they raised, and says what happens next. Review Reply drafts the first version, so the blank page is not the hard part.

FAQ

Restaurant review reply questions

What is Review Reply for Restaurants?

It is the restaurant use of Review Reply - Smart AI Responses, the Chrome extension that drafts an editable reply to the review you select. On Google Business Profile and Tripadvisor for Business it adds an RR button beside the platform's own reply action, and it drafts from a pasted review for Yelp and other sites. You review the text, run Truth Check, and make the final click to post.

Which review platforms does Review Reply support for restaurants?

Google Business Profile and Tripadvisor for Business use the RR button and the platform's own reply flow. Yelp is not an approved host, so it uses the paste-a-review path: you paste the review into the panel, draft and edit it, then copy the reply into Yelp's own reply box yourself. The same paste path covers any other review site.

Does Review Reply post replies on its own?

No. Review Reply never posts on its own. Every supported path ends with your own final click on the platform's native Post reply button, which fills and submits the platform's own reply form. On Yelp and other sites the path drafts only, and you paste the reply in yourself.

How do you reply to a negative restaurant review?

Thank the diner, name the specific issue they described — a slow service, a cold dish — and say what you are doing about it. Keep it calm and brief, and move any refund or compensation conversation to a private channel rather than committing to it in public. Truth Check flags unverified promises for exactly that reason.

Can I choose the tone and language of a restaurant reply?

Yes. Every draft can use one of three tones — Professional, Friendly or Casual — and a reply language matched to the review or picked from 29 languages. These settings are saved in the extension and applied to the next draft.

What data does Review Reply send, and when?

Only after you invoke a reply action, it sends the selected review text, the displayed or typed reviewer name and rating, your language and tone settings, and a platform label to rr-api.reputationsystems.ai over HTTPS. It does not sell data or use it for advertising. Read the privacy and security summary.
