How does Review Reply work on Tripadvisor?
Review Reply - Smart AI Responses drafts an editable management response to the Tripadvisor review you select in Tripadvisor for Business. An unanswered review must be expanded before the RR button appears against it. Once a review is open, the extension reads its reviewer name, rating and review text, and returns a context-aware draft you can edit and post through Tripadvisor's own form.
How do you respond to a Tripadvisor review step by step?
- Open the review in Tripadvisor for Business and expand it first if it is unanswered.
- Click the circular RR icon beside the native Respond action to draft a reply.
- Edit the draft and run Truth Check, then click Post reply to submit through Tripadvisor's own response form.
What it reads
What Review Reply reads on this page
The extension reads only the review you select.
- Reviewer name. The displayed name on the guest review you chose.
- Rating. The star rating shown with that review.
- Review text. The body of the review you selected.
- Rating-only reviews. A review with a rating and no text still drafts. The extension sends the fixed label Rating-only review together with the rating and reviewer name instead of inventing guest text. A card with neither a rating nor a reviewer name fails closed.
Posting
How does posting work on Tripadvisor?
Click Post reply and that final click fills Tripadvisor's own response field and submits its native form. Before you publish, Truth Check reviews the draft for unsupported concrete details, unverified promises, missed clear complaints and confident language mismatches. If findings remain, posting needs a second Post anyway click. Nothing is posted without your explicit final action.

Does Review Reply post Tripadvisor responses automatically?
No. It never posts on its own. Every path ends with your own final click on Tripadvisor's native Respond button, which fills and submits the platform's own response form. If Truth Check still finds unsupported claims, posting needs a second Post anyway click, so a reply is never published without you.
Why do I expand the review first?
Tripadvisor hides the response controls until an unanswered review is expanded. The extension adds its circular RR button beside the native Respond action only once that control is visible, so expanding the review gives the button a verified, supported surface. Until then it stays inactive rather than guessing.
Where does the RR button appear on Tripadvisor?
It appears beside the native Respond action on an expanded guest review in Tripadvisor for Business. Click the RR icon to draft a response for that review; the extension reads its reviewer name, rating and review text and opens the draft in your chosen workspace.
What happens with a rating-only Tripadvisor review?
